Jointly Inc. is proud to offer the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) program to recognize and honor individuals who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to serving their community and their nation.
About the President’s Volunteer Service Award
The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) was established in 2003 by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation to celebrate the essential role of volunteers in contributing to America's strength and sense of national identity. How do I prove that I volunteered the hours I am claiming?
A letter from every agency, organization, school, church, etc., where you volunteered must accompany your timesheet. Verification letters must:
Be typed on the organization’s official letterhead
Attest to your total hours completed and/or break down the hours completed according to their records
Briefly explain your duties and responsibilities while volunteering that coordinate with your timesheet
Be signed by your volunteer supervisor or appropriate staff member
Include that staff member’s title and contact information
Be provided for every single hour that you are claiming on your timesheet. Ensure that the hours on your letters match those on your timesheet, or we will adjust/deny hours based on the verification submitted.
